If you've ever picked up your Bible and felt like you didn't even know where to begin, this course is for you. This course is for anyone who wants to dig deeper and encounter God in between the lines of scripture. In each session, you'll learn the most basic skills of an inductive approach to studying the Bible and put these skills into practice in practical ways. This is a college level certificate course for lay persons, small group leaders, or pastors who want to grow confident in their biblical study. The cost is $25 a person for 6 weeks. About the Instructor:
Rev. Angela Scully holds an undergrad degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in History and Biblical Literature, and a Masters degree from Asbury Theological Seminary in Theological Studies. She is ordained in the Wesleyan church. She has previously worked for Refuge for Women (Lexington, KY) and Scarlet Hope (Louisville, KY), ministries that serve women transitioning out of the sex industry and as a house parent at the former Hephzibah Children's Home (Macon, GA). She has served as Women's Ministry Director, Assistant Pastor, and church planter and taught multiple women's Bible studies. Currently, she and her husband, Chuck, are small group leaders at their home church, Warner Robins Nazarene, in Warner Robins, GA. They live in Warner Robins with their three children (Lucie, Emilia, and Silas), their dog, Penny, their two cats Persephone & Chloe, and three chickens-Chick Chick, Lucie-Chicken, & Spikey. Chuck (who works as a Master plumber) and Angela have been married for 6 years as of February 14th, 2021.
